Here’s some information with regards to the 10th Annual University of Central Florida Women in Accounting Symposium:
The purpose of this symposium is to provide professional and educational development opportunities to female accounting students. This student-run event has specifically addressed challenges and various opportunities that women in the accounting industry face within the workplace and in life. By bringing women leaders in industry and public accounting to address these challenges and opportunities, UCF women accounting students become more knowledgeable and aware of their career options and opportunities. This symposium is an invitation-only event that will feature speakers and participants from a number of accounting firms and businesses in the Orlando area. Women accounting students will receive an email inviting them and are strongly encouraged to attend the event on Friday, October 18th, 2019, from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM in the Live Oak Event Center located on campus. The event will include continental breakfast, networking, panel sessions, and lunch. There is no cost to attend this event due to the generous sponsorship provided by the sponsors. Space is limited therefore please RSVP as soon as possible.
You may contact the Committee Co-Chairs Shannon Garmer & Caitlin Mingonet at WIAsymposium@gmail.com with any questions about the symposium.
Because significant costs are incurred and sponsors expect to network with a number of students, individuals who do not attend and who do not cancel their reservation within 48 hours of the event may be billed for the individual cost of the event. If registered individuals are unable to attend, written notice of such should be given to Dr. Dennis (Faculty Advisor email@example.com) or Shannon Garmer & Caitlin Mingonet (Committee Co-Chairs WIASymposium@gmail.com) as soon as possible.
